Yay for holidays! This Memorial Day weekend was fantastic! My family drove up from sandy, utah for 4 days. On friday we hung out and watched a movie... it was SO nice to see them! Havnt seen them in a while, and plus they havnt been to Rexburg before! It so fun to host them at our apartment for the first time. Saturday the weather was horrible so we decided to head over to the Idaho Falls Temple vistor center, they have a new space hubble exhibit which is amazing! It was pouring rain the whole day! But we still managed to have a BBQ at Denise's with the kids.
On Sunday we made the drive to Yellowstone Nat'l Park, though it was raining most of the day, windy and cold it was still beautiful! It was so fun seeing all the animals in their natural habitat. Paisley's favorite was the Buffalo! We saw Old Faithful and the kids weren't too thrilled but it was worth the wait. Then it managed to snow so we headed to the lodge and to the giftstore and waited it out. We loved Yellowstone, we havnt been in years and probably wont til we have kids in a while.
Monday was beautiful Memorial Day! We set up horseback riding with my mothers old missionary companion that lives in Rexburg; she has about 20 horses. It was so much fun to watch the kids on the horses and learn how to ride. Mac is a natural, she took riding lessons a while ago. And Dad has always rode since he was little. Mom was so fun to watch! and Aaron wasnt a big fan of riding, but I did catch him talking to a horse :) it was cute. he loves animals.
Then we all grabbed some lunch together and off they went! It was a BLAST to have my family visit especially in our little 2 bedroom apartment. I love you family and Thanks for coming! Also I owe a huge thank you to my wonderful husband for helping me plan and cook and clean and everything for this weekend! I love you! Mwah!
