Inspired by the Future

I am a big fan of SELF magazine and they have great articles about healthy food tips, excersize workouts, nutrition, beauty secrets, motivating music, milestones, challenges, and more. I struggle with motivation but one thing I know I am motivated about is swimsuit season. This quiz confirms that I am excited for summer because apparently i am "inspired by the future" and summer.... well yes, that is in the future. but very soon future! :)

I am: Inspired by the future
Your ambition is to inhabit the earth for as long and as comfortably as possible, living right to keep all systems go—perhaps as insurance against a family history of disease.

Luckily, your outlook is a proven winner: Women who link healthy strategies to long-term goals feel less tempted by treats than those with a limited outlook, according to the Journal of Consumer Research. "With a big-picture view, you can tweak choices over time to fit your lifestyle."

1. Eat more ice cream. Yes, you read that right. Indulging in a daily treat—10 percent of your calories—helps keep you from feeling deprived

2. Keep score. Knowing your health digits (heart rate, body-mass index) can push you to improve them

3. Yum it up. R.D.-approved standbys boring your palate? Give old dishes new life with different seasonings.

4. Move it! Build walking into your daily routine: Instead of emailing coworkers, stroll down the hall for face time. "Getting up from your desk for a quick walk six or seven times a day burns about 100 calories"

5. Get hooked on a feeling. Good-for-you habits pay off now and in the future

Twilight?

Well, not much to post. Its finally my weekend with Friday and Saturday off which means I got to sleep in :) Things at work have been, well.. the same. I'm pretty productive since I read the Twilight books all day long. Its a paperless environment so everything is either eraseable or on the computer. So we have these digital books and the only book I recieved was the 4 books of Twilight. Needless to say, I wasn't all that thrilled. Even though I read the first book and loved it I didnt really want to read the rest of the series. But... So within 3 days I'm more than half way done with the 2nd book and to tell you the truth, it's pretty good. So I'll probably finish off the series so I can keep from going insane at work. Another book I think I want to read is Eat, Play, Love because the movie is coming out soon with Julia Roberts. Yay, she's one of my favorites.

Another accomplishment: last week I ran 8 miles! I found my nitch... this woman...

I go to the BYU Idaho school gym and I grab the magazine cover that has her on it and I feel like she is there watching me! It totally does the trick! Also a little music helps too, but I feel like it helps me. Now if I could only manage to change my work schedule so I can keep working out at night instead of being so sleeeeppyy in the morning!

Does anyone have a time machine?

If you do please let me know! These 3 are growing up way to fast, and they're not even my own kids! Well sort of. Where did all the time go? Just disappeared I guess.

Pretty Kenzie will be 18 and if I go on i'll just start to cry... it used to be just me and her for 12 long years (and I mean that in a good way). I love her so much!

This little guy will be 9 very soon, and he's my favorite boy in the world. Very talented in all he does. Wil is hilarious and so adorable, he is our warrior.

This princess just turned 4 and I thought she was just born yesterday! It sure seemed like it. She's the one I call "my baby"... I stayed home and watched Paisley like I was her own mother. She even did call me Mom sometimes! Now she thinks we have different mom's. Haha.

These two are partners in crime. Though they fight a lot, they love eachother and I bet they'll be bestfriends one day.

Time goes by so fast. Lets enjoy it.

John 13:34-A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

February 2010

Lately, things have been going well. I am very happy I finally got a day off from work. 8 days in a row starts to get tiring after a while! And now since I wake up at 4:30am... well, you get the point. But work is going really good, and I am learning very quickly. I have some good friends there that I really enjoy being around that make my day go by quick. I soon will start my new late schedule after my training is over, that is 2-11pm uggh. Oh well. But at least I have a job now!

Next up, stupid stupid stupid Jake & Vienna. No Comment.

okay maybe I will comment, but ugggh. I waisted my Monday nights on these two? What can you do.

Yesterday I went to the Temple to counter-act my guilty pleasure of reality heartbreakers (Jake). I really enjoyed my time there and it is a really beautiful temple, much larger than Newport Beach. Not only is this temple half a mile away from where I live, but I can see it shining bright 24 hours a day from my bedroom window. What a blessing!

also, this video is not really working out for me lately. I've been hitting the BYUI gym and last week I was on the elyptical for 6.2 miles! hello?! 6 miles! thats an accomplishment! I still have yet to lose one pound but I feel healthier! that's what counts right?
